2: Their Spread to Other Countries Available to Purchase

Sovereign citizen ideology is gaining traction both in the United States and more so internationally. As more people are adopting sovereign citizen rhetoric and tactics, some may be compelled to act out with violence, an area that has heretofore not been examined. For instance, the Trains in Australia ambushed and shot three law enforcement officers, two of whom were fatally wounded. Their online footprint revealed their belief in a host of conspiracy theories, sovereign citizen conspiracies included (Thomas, 2023).
